We don’t want to do nothing with what God gives us.

-Stop, look, and listen before you step out.
-Proverbs 24:3-4
-Knowledge, understanding of knowledge, and correct application of knowledge= wisdom.
-Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

-Joshua 2:1 -They didn’t rush. God doesn’t want His people to rush.

-Ask questions: Don’t be rushed into a situation- ask for wisdom.
-Proverbs exalts wisdom above wealth.

-Before you make a decision what do the facts say? If you don’t have enough facts, gather more.
-What does God say? What God says trumps everything.
-The same God who says stop, look, and listen, is the same God who sometimes says “go”.

• Adultery: Broken trust/covenant- Jesus doesn't break trust or covenant with us, but why do we sometimes break trust/covenant with Him?

He has your whole world in His hands
Striving blocks the fullness of the power of God working in our lives- we can’t get in the way of God. We need to stop and say “help me Jesus”
When you ask the Lord for help- true authority rises up
His strength is perfected in our weakness
Find rest for your souls in childlike dependency on Him
We can’t set ourselves free- we need to rely on the Holy Spirit or else it becomes works based
Believe means trust

Cast your cares on Him for He cares for you
Hope deferred makes the heart sick

-If we want to be Christ like we need to be like those 2 verses
-We need to get out of the way so God's love can flow through us
-Go out and be yourself. Be friendly with people and allow them to see God's love in your life
-Love God and love people, when it becomes anything else it’s not worth it

-People know all about religion they don’t want religion they want to see the real Jesus.

-What things are distracting you from seeing your progress? Phone? Relationships? Etc?
-What mountain have you been on? Emotional, spiritual, physical, just being stuck in fear, distraction with the phone or other things?
-Are you on a mountain you need to get off of? Or are you on a mountain that you are still thriving on?

-God doesn't just tell you to do something and then move onto the next- He is right there with you. Even when you're in fear and even when you think you can't do it, He is with you!

-How do we renew our minds? Read the word, discipline, take every thought captive, communicate with God, people groups, journal, take things to him, renew=renovation, include Jesus, walk, community, environment, trust, etc.

Topic: Worry
-If worry becomes your identity it will start to eat away at everything in your life.
-Philippians 4:6
-Be anxious for nothing.
-Matthew 6:27
-We are not under the curse of the law anymore.
-We are under the shadow of His protection: Psalm 91.
-Most of the worry we get is from other people.
-What information is going into your heart?
-Worry steals your sleep, drains your joy, clouds your faith- therefore I refuse to worry
-Worry doesn’t change tomorrow. It only empties today of peace.
-God's word doesn’t deny challenges, but it teaches us how to go through them without fear.
-Worry is natural but it is not spiritual

-Who is a Martha? Jesus is saying if it isn’t perfect I don’t care it matters that I’m here.

-We need to be calm enough that we can sleep through a storm.
-Can the storm obey us? Did it obey Jesus?
-What are you saying to the storm?
-Submitted- we submit everything to the Lord, not just the things we want to give.
-Consecrated: dedicated to the service of Jesus

-Possession: ownership and dominion
-Concern=Worry. Sometimes we change the word so it doesn’t sound so bad
-Courage=Brave, quality of mind or spirit that gives you what you need to face any situation without fear.

-There are many opportunities to worry, but we have to make the decision to not worry.
-If we don’t know how to take action against worrying, we can easily fall into worrying again.
-If we know the Word but don’t act on the Word what’s the point?
