  • The true meaning of Easter

    -Jesus was betrayed by Judas for 30 pieces of silver.

    -Jesus is tried and taken in front of pilot and pilot doesn’t want to crucify Him because he didn’t find Him guilty of anything, but the crowd wanted Him crucified.

    -Jesus is scourged. Jesus did this for everyone. He went through all of the pain for us.

    -Normally a triumphant king would ride into a city on a war horse. Jesus rode in on a donkey.

    -Hosanna means “save now” “deliver us”

    -They’re thinking He is going to save them from the Roman Empire.

    -What do we think about Jesus in our own life?

    -Are you opening your heart for Jesus to come in?

    -Sometimes we let Him come into our hearts as long as He performs for us or does what we want Him to do.

    -But He comes into our hearts and cuts the dead off.

    -Are we looking for Him to take the stripes again?

    -Whatever we feel, go through, or experience, doesn’t change what He already did for me. The wind/ storm can’t blow you off of what’s already been done.

    -People have a problem with the “you’ve already got it” doctrine because they’re looking at the physical and what they don’t see.

    -It’s all about love.

    -What if you believe today that nothing bad could ever happen to you ever again? What would you do?

  • It will accomplish- Gods word will accomplish what it says

    -When God says something it won’t return to Him empty.

    -Gods word is always going to produce something whether you see it immediately or not.

    -If you’re not hearing from the Lord who are you hearing from?

    -Gods word is not just information it is a mission.

    -Sometimes we get in the way of Him producing results.

    -God can breathe life into your situation no matter how it looks.

    -If we don’t know the voice of the Lord we won’t be able to respond to Him.

  • -We have all that we need we just have to ask.

  • Surrender: Yielding control to God with trust. It’s the decision to stop striving in your own strength.

    -We have natural human responses, but we don’t live by those responses we surrender to the mind of Christ and walk by the Spirit.

    -When you surrender you are in perfect peace.

    -My thinking is very small and limited. We need to remember who we’re talking to.

  • Fear & peace: What are you feeding?

    -Sometimes unconsciously we are feeding fear.

    -Philippians 4:6

    -When we’re not in peace we are in fear about something.

    -When we don’t trust Him we will run to what can we do to fix.

    -We are so result oriented.

    -We don’t need to ask Jesus to bring His peace, we need to realize we have the prince of peace in us.

    -It’s us who need to move away from fear and anxiety and align with the peace already inside of us.

    -Whatever I feed grows. Whatever I starve dies.

    -What is it about our day that reinforces fear in us?

    -The body is designed to respond to threat, but not to live there.

    -Jesus is the embodiment of peace and the devil is the embodiment of fear.

    -Fear involves torment.

    -Peace is not just biological it is spiritual alignment with Heaven.

    -Peace restores my body.

    -Peace is not the absence of storms- it is complete trust.

    -We have the option to be afraid or not be afraid in the storm.

    -Be anxious for NOTHING.

    -We have a choice.

    -You don’t accidentally drift into peace, you feed it.

    -You feed the peace by keeping your mind on God.

    -Settling our hearts is permanent- it is where we choose what to believe.

    -The transition from just renewing your mind/settling in your heart.

    -It’s not a transition from learning/ doing more.

    -It’s choosing what we believe.

    -This is why He tells us things beforehand- so we can settle it in our heart.

  • Fear or peace

    -fear and peace both grow from focus and repetition.

    -How do we find peace in our heart?

    -James 4:10

    -Why do we repeat what people say and not what God says?

    -We look for life in the Word, not to check a box.

    -Bless those who curse you.

    -Pride can limit you.

    -When you’re prideful you think you’re your own God.

    -Hebrews 10:10

    -Do our own opinions about ourselves or other peoples opinions about us conflict with Gods word? Then we know what needs to go.

  • 1 John

    -Your joy should be full because of Jesus. Joy is a fruit of the spirit.

    -There is no darkness in Him so he does not put darkness on us.

    -If we are experiencing darkness in our life, God is the light.

    -if we’re in the light we will have fellowship with one another.

    -We are supposed to receive His sacrifice.
